Wishing Shamu the best.

We opted for a San Diego trip this summer when we realized that Sea World would no longer be doing the Orca show come 2017.  We also realized that we hadn't gone swimming in the ocean in close to five years because all of our recent trips down south have been wintertime escapes.  So August it was!

Nothin' like the sound of the surf to lull one to sleep.

Lily wanted to kick off our vacation with a bonified sunburn.

Our Discovery Center of Boise pass got us into the Balboa Park Science Museum for FREE!

Jack wasn't impressed.

Waiting for the dolphin show in the only patch of shade we could find.  Jack hogged the whole thing.

Eve was amazing at getting the animals to pose with her.  Check out that polar bear.

In the splash zone for Shamu, yeah baby!

We spent our first day at Sea World taking in the shows so on our second day we hit up the rides while everyone else was in the shows and rode them over and over.  And over.

Our second day at Sea World happened to be our anniversary.  (Also Tim's mom's birthday...don't ask.)  We woke up and made her crepes for a breakfast celebration.  Then we dragged all the kids back to where it all began 15 years ago.  The San Diego temple.

And this was the perfect end to a wonderful week with family!
