It's the thought that counts, right?

We tried our hand at homemade gifts for cousins this year.  The experience was all I had hoped for - the kids got all giddy about being crafty and spending their time on behalf of others.  The end result was just so-so.  Next year we'll plan ahead so we can make something more special.  We made headbands out of strips of jersey knit from Lily's old yoga pants(with a touch of ribbon) and decorated hair combs with embroidery floss.  Then we threw in a few homemade caramels for good measure.

I think we've got a new tradition on our hands.
