Bigger and better.

I think I need to stop snapping photos of my kids when they're at their best (or worst, depending on how you look at it). They've caught on to the fact that the most camera-worthy shots usually involve a wreckage of some sort - you know the kind that, if I can stifle the urge to yell at them until after I've taken a picture, it will inevitably bring fun memories in years to come. For instance, this morning, I walk in on this:

And I think to myself: When I said you could use my yarn, I did not imagine this! Clean it up this instant!

Instead I pause, turn around and fetch the camera, snap a few shots and remind them that they will have to clean it up. To which they respond, "Of course, mom." Then they proceed on their merry way being kids, exhilarated that their cuteness was sufficient to keep their somewhat OCD mother from smothering their creativity. Go ahead. Make the mess. I'll have a clean house again someday. And I'll be laughing at the destruction that has visited your homes in the irresistible form of little children.

I think I'll be sending over all of the friendly spiders taking up space in my house. That is quite the web your daughter's have created.
