As part of the summer reading program associated with our public library, the kids are awarded a ticket to the annual rodeo in Nampa (about 30 minutes west of us). We braved the event with all three kids this year. As a bonus, if you're one of the first to arrive, there's plenty of free stuff handed out at the entrances. We walked away with 5 bandanas, 2 farm animal figurines, and a water bottle. We could've gotten more, but after waiting on the asphalt in 100 degree heat for half an hour, we were more than happy to snag our hard-earned front row (in the general admission section, that is) seat.
