Global warming?
Last year I cut 6 or 7 pink tulips from my backyard, tied a ribbon around them, and gave them to my neighbor as a 30th birthday present. That was on April 15th. This year, her birthday came and went, and, had I been thoughtful enough to give her flowers again, I would have had no tulips to give. Those same tulips are nowhere near blooming. Now, I'm not narrow-minded enough to assert that an eternal winter and late spring in Boise disprove any theories about global warming. Yes, my experience is nothing more than an isolated incident and that would be silly of me. But I do think it's pretty funny. And timely.
